From 18 January until 24 February 2014 six contemporary fine art Printmakers are launching the 2014 exhibition season at the Walter Strachen Gallery, Bishop’s Stortford College, with an exciting exhibition showcasing their preferred methods of producing original prints.

The ‘BluePrint’ exhibition creates a fascinating opportunity to view original unique prints made in a variety of ways ranging from etching and linocut to monoprints, collagraphs and solar plate. The Purple Printmakers are a group of five fine art Printmakers who met whilst studying printmaking in Cambridge. They comprise of Lesley Corbett, Tania Durrant, Sherry Rea, Nina Sage and Jo Tunmer. This special exhibition launches the group into 2014 with a glimpse into their own personal BluePrints. The Purple Printmakers are also thrilled to have the renowned Printmaker, and lead tutor at The Curwen Print Study Centre, Susan Jones to exhibit with them for the duration of the BluePrint show.

You are invited to meet the Printmakers on the following dates when they will be delighted to discuss their work:

Saturdays 18th January, 1st and 8th February 2014. The Printmakers will be there from 11 until 3 pm. Outside of these times you are welcome to view the exhibition by appointment, please call Richard Honey on 01279 838580.
