Lino cut print
Print making
Steeple Morden

I enjoy combining lino cutting with screen printing and I often hand colour my prints. As well as hares, I produce other original prints also inspired by nature, often depicting birds and screen print home textiles by hand; tea towels, aprons, cushions and lampshades, all using my own designs.

I am also a member of Royston Arts Society, the Beds, Bucks and Herts Print Society and am on the team organising the Cambridge Original Printmakers Biennale 2018.

My work has been shown at Cambridge Contemporary Art, The Art Nest in Hitchin, Mere  Gallery in Bowness on Windermere, Hare and Hen in Burnham Deepdale, Jessica Muir in  Long  Melford, Church Street Gallery in Saffron Walden, VK gallery in St. Ives and The Giggly Goat in Norwich. I am now part of a new artist's co-operative in Letchworth, The Wynd Gallery.

I've always been creative, but renovating an old house, family life and teaching were a priority for many years. At teacher training college Igained a distinction in my main course of Art, but apart from this I have no formal art background.

I became captivated by print making in 2011, completing 2 terms at the Curwen Print Study Centre. At home I print on a Victorian book binding press and this year a beauitful new etching press.

My Christmas card design for the RSPB in 2014 was their best seller and Amnesty also used one of my hare designs for Christmas 2014. My  prints are in 3 books, The Artful Hare, The Elegant Fowl and The Cambridge Art Book

I teach lino cutting at various venues, including Art Van Go  in Knebworth, The Settlement in Letchworth, Oxford Summer School and I hold regular workshops at my own studio; both lino and mono print.

Please get in touch if you would like me to teach at your venue, school or just for a group of friends.
