Pastels, charcoal and mixed media. Life drawing, landscapes. Ceramics.
Mixed media: charcoal,pastel,acrylics,oils. Ceramics.
Great Cambourne, Cambridge, CB23 6AQ

I have enjoyed painting and drawing all my life. From a young age I wanted to be a potter. On reaching art college I studied Ceramics and gained a BA Hons from the Central School of Art and Design. After leaving college I ran my own ceramic studio for some years before deciding on a career change. I took a job in the film industry and for many years worked as a freelance painter and art finisher in the Creature Effects and Prosthetic Make up Departments.

Since leaving the film industry and moving to Cambridge I have returned to persuing my own work, rediscovering my love of colour. I use mixed media in my life drawing and landscapes and in more experimental abstract work. I enjoy a spontaneous approach as I am interested in capturing energy and movement, so when possible I prefer working directly from my subject matter. I strive to create vibrant, energetic works.
