Emily Fowke
I’ve always loved having a paint brush or pencil in my hand and decided to become an artist when I was 21, since when I've been on a voyage of artistic discovery which has enriched my life in every way. I’ve been lucky to glean opportunities to learn alongside work and then to commit to full time work as an artist.
I love colour, creating space and the chance to respond emotionally to all the incredible things to be seen in the natural world.
I intend to develop my landscape painting further – plein air and in my studio – and I have an interest in beginning a series of portraits and an ongoing wish to look at creating paintings relating to pattern.
I am also a member of the United Society of Artists and have exhibited with the New English Art Club, Mall Galleries, London; Byard Art, Cambridge; Picturecraft, Holt; and have had a solo exhibition at the Museum of Classical Archaeology in Cambridge amongst other exhibitions.
