Colourful, detailed paintings of tranquil gardens, old buildings, chickens and geese
Pen and watercolour
Sawston, Cambridge

My work is mostly in pen, ink and watercolour. I studied graphic design at St. Martins, specialising in illustration. I now concentrate on creating original pictures and exhibit regularly with the Cambridge Drawing Society, Cambridge Open Studios and in exhibitions across East Anglia.

I enjoy finding detail in the corners of local gardens and the countryside, exploring the textures of natural things and old buildings. One regular theme is chickens or geese going about their business. Other pictures capture peaceful moments in summer. Several of my pictures have been taken abroad as memories of the English countryside.

In 2010 two of my pictures were accepted for the Society of Women Artists exhibition at the Mall Galleries. I have done pen and ink illustrations of English towns and cities for souvenir gifts. A painting of Lode Mill is displayed in Wetherspoons' Tivoli pub in Cambridge and my picture of the seasons at The Mary Challis Garden in Sawston will be hung in their new tea room.
