Oil and oil pastels
Cambridge

I paint because I enjoy putting paint onto board and paper. Having been mostly a watercolourist I now work predominantly in acrylic, oil and oil pastel. For me, colour, composition and shapes are the most important. The struggle is of course frustrating and sometimes more or less satisfying - but I love it! Painting began for me in 1996 after having worked in theatre most of my life. I was born in Edinburgh and have lived in Cambridge for the past 35 years.
