Gill studied Fine Art (printmaking) at West Surrey College of Art & Design and draws on her knowledge of etching and mezzotints to portray the intimate, often over-looked, spaces around us in the English landscape.

Gill is drawn to compositions in the landscape that are marked  by strong tonal contrasts and the abstract play of light. She enjoys the quiet, personal places at Wicken Fen, Scotland and the Lake District - turning the ordinary into something beautiful.
