Painter, Printmaker
Painting , Prints
The Old Bakery, Ashdon

I studied Illustration and an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. Then studied lithography with Stanley Jones at the Curwen Studio, and currently work as Lead Tutor and Studio Manager at the Curwen Print Study Centre. My abstract prints are inspired by the surrounding landscape and are infused with a sense of mystery, vitality, colour and space. The Monoprints or Monotypes, are unique pieces evolved over time, constructed of many layers. Working with a variety of techniques, I currently enjoy experimenting with Photopolymer Gravure, wood engraving and photolithography.

I have worked on and led various Artist Residencies, printmaking workshops for the British museum, Blenheim Palace and Kettles Yard, to name a few. Exhibitions have included The Babylon Gallery, Ely, Byard Art, Cambridge, The Market Cross, Bury St Edmunds, and many more. For more information please visit www.printsuejones.com
