Printmaking, Drawing and Painting
Cambridge

Tania Verdejo has completed her PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education at the Institution of Education, University of London. She has studied Art History/Fine Art and obtained her Masters in Children's Book Illustration at Anglia Ruskin University. She is a versatile teacher interested in furthering her studies in education research and is a practising Printmaking artist.

In my artistic practice, I consider the historical background of printmaking, its roots in social propaganda and function in book Illustration. I see my work in part as a documentation of public art, street vendors, musicians, artists and youth culture. I was born in Mahon Menorca an Island well known for its tranquil setting, fish markets and plazas. While growing up I was influenced by the diverse music scene in the Balearic Islands. I am inspired by the human condition and explore a variety of narratives based on personal experiences, social satire, and historical events.

Tania has exhibited her work in Cambridge, London, Beijing China and has recently working on a project for the Tour de France.
