Two CDS workshops with John Glover on Sunday 10th September and Sunday 5th November, 10am-4pm at Grantchester Village Hall. Each workshop will have a different model.

A wonderful opportunity to work from a live model. Throw away your iPad and smart phone and experience the challenges and excitement of working directly from a live model. Working in this way will give you some insight into the importance of the relationship between artist and sitter and how the dialogue between them, can lead to insights way beyond mere surface detail.

John will firstly give a demonstration covering materials, composition, colour mixing and techniques, followed by the attendees making preliminary studies and sketches. The rest of the day will be given over to one long pose.

John Glover, D.A, B.A. IEA, is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art and the Open University and has worked all his professional life as an artist, whether it be book illustration or portraits and landscapes. He has given many demonstrations to art societies up and down the country and taught painting holidays both at home and abroad.
