Did you catch us on BBC Look East? Cambridge Drawing Society kicked off Cambridge Arts Festival with a special SketchTogether at the wonderful Museum of Cambridge on Monday! For the first time ever, we opened our doors to the public, inviting them to join us in sketching.

It was an amazing day of artists coming together to sketch for the sheer joy of it and making connections. With an astounding 20,000 fascinating artefacts surrounding us, we were spoilt for choice of objects to sketch, and the artwork that emerged was simply fabulous.

And the fun didn’t stop there. We followed up with a lovely lunch at The Punters, where we continued to chat and enjoyed each others’ company.

A huge thank you to both Cambridge Arts Festival and Museum of Cambridge for making this possible.
