Angela Cookney

I have painted in oils, watercolours and acrylics for many years. For the past few years I have painted mostly in acrylics and have enjoyed working in layers. Most of my recent work is based on still life and interiors, and I have introduced hand painted collage and printing into my work.

I love the process of art making, experimenting with different styles and materials. Colours, shapes and pattern and how they work together interests me. My surroundings inspire me. Most of my recent work has moved away from realism, comes from my imagination and is stylised.
