Diane Firth

I specialise in oil paintings and drawings of people, pets and animals, either separately or together. I’m passionate about creating artworks which capture unique personalities and bring joy to those who commission them. I have been painting and drawing people and animals since I was a child. There are few things that can beat the power of gazing into the eyes of another living creature and sharing that connection and I’m passionate about capturing that feeling. Every person and every animal is unique, with their own personality and way of being and I never tire of finding a way to show that. I have always been fascinated by the challenge of representing people and have painted or drawn hundreds of portraits.

I have a degree in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art and an MA at Chichester University as well as a BA in History of Art from Reading University.

I love working on commissions and believe that commissioning an artwork should be a positive, fascinating and rewarding experience for all involved. It is important to me that I create a treasured heirloom which brings joy and happy memories to those who own it.
