Pamela Barrell
After owning an art gallery and business art consultancy service in both Cambridge and London for 23 years, Pamela gained a degree in the humanities and took various painting courses with the Open University of Arts. She joined the Cambridge Drawing Society in 2004, at first using pastels and later turning to watercolour, often with the addition of ink and acrylic. She now exhibits and sells her paintings around East Anglia; with three of her paintings hanging in the boardroom of the Trinity Centre in Cambridge.
Her recent pictorial biography ‘Locating Anthony Trollope‘ of the 19th century novelist contains 74 of her paintings showing where he was born, christened, lived, was educated, worked, socialized, hunted and travelled etc whilst writing 47 novels, numerous short stories, travelogues and biographies.
