I have been painting for over 30 years. During evening classes I experimented with a variety of media and had tutorials in pastels and life drawing.

About 20 years ago I joined a botanical watercolour group and painted with them for over 6 years enjoying the discipline of observation and the accuracy both in the detail of drawing and the use of colour. I then started experimenting further with watercolour, taking classes to loosen up my style, and this medium continues to provide me with challenges.

During Covid lockdowns I joined a number of online courses which were enjoyable and I have continued to do so as well as attending live classes.

I was accepted as a member of the Cambridge Drawing Society in 2017 and have since exhibited with them regularly.
